Putting on mink lashes is one thing that requires a lot of expertise and hands-on experience. In fact, many times, despite having these two things people lack the proper art of putting on mink lashes. There are a lot of people out there who, on one hand very easily do lash extensions as well as lash lifts, but on the other hand failed miserably in putting mink lashes. This thing may seem very easy to people when talked about theoretically, but when it comes to practical application this one is a tough nut to crack.
This work is very similar to arranging those small houses for dolls that kids play with. There also you have to arrange and place very precisely, a miniature version of furniture and other household stuff. That requires a lot of precision along with a whole lot of patience. In a very similar manner, these tiny miniature wigs for lashes also require a lot of precision along with a whole lot of patience.
As a beginner, you might think that it’s ok to settle for some cheap improper looking falsie but let me tell you that is definitely not something worth settling for. You might argue that extensions will burn a hole in your pocket along with being tiresome and so will lash lifts, although they are less tedious in comparison, you should know that you have every right to carry that posh elegant look on a not so costly budget.
Here we will share those tips for all those beginners who are going to try mink lashes for the first time:
Both eyelash strips need to be trimmed
To begin with, you need to purchase some not so expensive mink lashes so that you can try out your art of trimming them to perfection because it will not be a very wise suggestion for a beginner to hone your trimming skills on a pair of costly mink lashes.
To start with the first thing that you need to do is place the strip of mink lash against your actual eyelid. By doing this you will get a fair idea that how much of this is excess. The next thing that you need to do is trim the part that is extra. Do not try to do this trimming part while placing the strip against your actual eyelid because that would be probably the silliest decision you will make in your lifetime. First, measure the excess part by placing it on your eyelid, then remove it and trim it well.
Lash Glue should be applied tactically
You don’t need to put on the glue and in an instant put it up on your eyelid for sticking it. You should wait for a while so that the glue dries up a little bit here the catch is that you will have to check that it does not dry a lot. Leaving it for near about 30 seconds does the trick as it is the appropriate amount of time for the glue to be an equal amount tacky and equal amount wet. You don’t need to yawn during these 30 seconds. Make the two ends of the lash meet each other so that the glue spreads evenly onto both the ends. This will make sure that the lashes will not come off when you put them on.
Give a downwards look into the mirror
Now, here comes the tricky part. You need to put on the mink lashes such that it is right there on your lash line. It should be close enough so that it is placed right on the top, but also along with this does not get tangled into your eyelids. One thing that you should do to make the placement of the strip proper is place the mirror in a position under your face somewhat in a 90 degree angle and then glance down, then you will be able to better see where the strip should be placed as the eyelids will expand in a similar way to closing your eyes. That is it. You are done and your lashes are placed in the proper place.
With these things done, you’re all ready to go and rock the world. If you follow these tricks neatly, nobody could ever think that you are a beginner or have put on the lashes for the first time.
